Payton Wilson could be one of the biggest steals of the 2024 NFL Draft, falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 98 overall.
The North Carolina State product was the best coverage linebacker in college football in 2023, and also had 41 run stops, per PFF. He slid to the back end of the third round due to concerns over his knee injury history, including the fact that one of his knees doesn’t have an ACL in it. However, he is incredibly fast and the injury hasn’t played any sort of factor in his play over the last two years (he played in 11 games in 2022, 12 in 2023).
